I recently had a piece accepted to the Maryland Bards Poetry Review, 2025.
Thank you to the jurors!
Songs of he Inner Ear
Late at night
with only the moon as witness,
the sea sends Her songs
ashore,
tide in-flow
carrying them
to break between rocks,
over shingle,
grace notes
flowing though dunes,
ancient tunes snared in sea bream
and reeds
Soft siren tonals lifting aloft
on a light strum breeze
finding the ear
of the soft
slumber sleeper,
unsure even so
if that thin air
carried
only a dream.
