This 1870's breadboard came to me from a client
who wanted to have some design work done. It had belonged to her grandmother,
born arounnd 1871. My mother happened to have been an expert in the arts of rosmaling, done on wood, and tole, done on tin. I still have her patterns. And so the generations are linkd through my work on this piece! When my client passed away last year, the piece came back to me.
In  April of this year, I will be giving a workshop on the Nordic art of rosemaling.  Attendees will create their own breadboards using traditional designs and learning traditional brushwork. More informtion is available by email: triskelestudio13@gmail.com
